BIO AND CURRICULUM (download)
Simone Stuto (Caltanissetta, 1991) lives and works in Turin.
His works are characterized by a strong iconographic tradition of medieval and renaissance layout, without ever losing the characteristics of contemporary aesthetics. They lead back to intimate atmospheres linked to the sphere of the oneiric, where space is saturated with abstract compositional pictorial elements, which restore the atmosphere and are often connatural to the figures. A continuous dualism between spirit and matter and between beauty and monstrosity is generated.
The narrative dimension is strongly accentuated by the preponderant use of pure colors, often achieved through thin glazes or more substantial pictorial pastes.
